Fun Run/Walk

Join us for the Chilly Chili Mile in which participants can choose to walk or run at top speed or at a comfortable pace. Our Annual one-loop course will start and finish at the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany. This event is organized by Healthy New Albany, the same team that brings you the New Albany Walking Classic®. This event promises to warm you up. The faster you walk or run, the sooner you can enjoy a bowl of chili and cornbread.

 

This unique one-mile walk/run event for health and/or competition will benefit the many programs and services that Healthy New Albany provides to individuals and families throughout Central Ohio and beyond. Healthy New Albany is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to keeping families and communities healthy and offers one of the most innovative and comprehensive health initiatives in the country.

you will receive this special Chilly Chili hat designed especially for this event!

January 1,  2024 - January 31, 2024 - $40.00

February 1, 2024 - February 22, 2024 - $45.00

Packet Pickup: Facts to Know

Packet pick-up will be held at the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany, 150 W. Main St., New Albany, Ohio 43054

 

Packet pick-up date and time is Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

 

A valid driver’s license (copies are accepted) must be presented to receive your packet. If picking up for others, you must show a valid driver’s license (or a copy) for each person.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

There will be no packet pick-up on race day and packets will not be available after the event.

Virtual Registration

Can't walk or run in person? Register as a virtual  participant! As a virtual participant, you can complete the one-mile at a venue of your choice. It can be in a park, on the streets in your neighborhood, on a treadmill or as a participant of another race. You are required to complete the one mile distance between 2/25/24 - 3/10/24. You can choose to walk or run your distance in segments. For example, you might complete the distance on two separate days.  Most importantly, get out and move!

Three are many benefits to Participating in the Chilly Chili Mile as a virtual walker or runner.

  • Your race garment and race bib number  will be mailed to your home between February 12, 2024 and February 24, 2024 so you don't need to attend packet pickup.

  • 100% of your race fee will be donated to our 501(c)(3) non-profit, Healthy New Albany, so you will be able to help our cause.

  • As a virtual participant, you will not be partaking in the Chilly Chili Mile on race day in New Albany which means there will be no concerns about parking, crowds, weather, travel and bathroom stops.

General Rules and Waivers
  • No pets allowed.

  • No exchanges of garments after the event. 

  • Packets for the event are only available during the scheduled days and times.
    They will not be available after the scheduled dates listed.

  • There is no transfer of bibs and no refunds for the events.

  • If the event is canceled due to an act of nature, no refunds will be given.

  • We reserve the right to remove you from the event if any of these waivers
    have not been met.
